Gurdwara Sri Tuti Gandi Sahib Gurdwara Sri Tuti Gandi Sahib is one of the most important historical Sikh shrines located in Sri Muktsar Sahib. The Gurdwara is closely associated with Guru Gobind Singh and commemorates the historic event that took place after the Battle of Muktsar in 1705. The name "Tuti Gandi"means "the torn deed" or "the broken agreement." After the battle, Bhai Mahan Singh sought forgiveness from Guru Gobind Singh Ji on behalf of the forty Sikhs who had earlier signed the Bedava, a document declaring that they were no longer followers of the Guru. Moved by their courage and sacrifice, Guru Gobind Singh Ji tore the Bedava into pieces, forgave them, and honored them as the Chali Mukte (Forty Liberated Ones). Today, Gurdwara Sri Tuti Gandi Sahib stands as a symbol of forgiveness, courage, and unwavering faith. Thousands of devotees visit the shrine every year, especially during the annual Maghi Mela, to pay their respects, offer prayers, and remember the inspiring legacy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the Chali Mukte.
